Spill in a berm in a Canadian mine

Spill in a berm surrounding fuel storage tanks in a mine.

There was a fuel oil spill from the tanks into the surrounding water as can be seen by a light sheen over the water. The volume of spill was not very large but the area of the spill was very large and the the volume of water in the berm. Only option available for the operators was to absorb the spilled oil using a boom and unfortunately it sank releasing more oil.
